2012 Unleash the Beast (Teacher Workshop)
Created by the acclaimed Polyglot Theatre, Unleash the Beast is a professional development workshop for teachers. It explores their role in creating opportunities for creative play in the classroom, building children’s confidence in their own abilities and ideas, and providing methods to validate personal choices.
Creative thinking is one of the most sought after qualities in the modern world. Children have an innate sense of play and discovery and this workshop provides a scaffold for their intuitive creative expression.
The workshop includes principles of playmaking, drama games, visual arts and activities to encourage participation and cooperation in the classroom.
This half-day PD workshop is available to schools throughout Victoria and is suitable for teachers of all disciplines.
*Please note - if you are booking an Ongoing performance in regional Victoria, you may incur an additional travel fee.
