Calling All Creatives! BRIGHT SPARKS
Are you a graphic designer, publisher, writer, photographer, film maker, fashion designer, visual or performing artist, musician or a 'maker' of beautiful things? Do you have your own business and would like to know how to make it bigger or better?
Bright Sparks will be a day of exciting inspiration, intensive learning and rapid skills development for people who work, or aspire to work in the creative industries.
We recognise that working in the creative field can sometimes be a bit lonely, often happens in the spare room or the shed, and that it’s hard to get business advice because you feel like traditional advisors don’t really ‘get’ your business.
But not anymore…. this unique opportunity, packaged into one all encompassing, action-packed day, is an event that you just can’t afford to miss out on!
We have brought together a range of successful people who are making their living in the creative industries, to share their stories and advice on how they’ve done it, and what they’ve learned. You’ll get heaps of advice, find out about inspiring creative projects happening all over the country and learn about how other creative’s manage their businesses. Featuring: Actor/scriptwriter Phil Lloyd (review with Myles Barlow, At home with Julia), Textile Designer Rachel Bending (Bird Textiles), Designer Rohan Nicol (Winner: Bombay Sapphire Design Award) and Multi Award Winning Sound Designer Damian Candusso.
Bring along yourself, a note book, pens, your creative mind and a sense of humour. The day includes individual workshop sessions, keynote speeches, lunch at La Maison, personal business advice and a panel discussion to launch your creative self into living regionally but working nationally, and maybe even globally.
To check out what’s on offer and to book your preferred workshop, visit the Bright Sparks website. Hurry as places are already filling up fast. For further enquiries please contact Murray Arts: firstname.lastname@example.org or ph: 6021 5034.
