The winners of the inaugural National Indigenous Music Awards, held on Friday August 19, 2011 at the historic Amphithreatre, Darwin Botanical Gardens are:

Elcho Island singing star Gurrumul Yunupingu was the big winner of the night taking out five awards, including the three new national awards for 2011: ‘Song’, ‘Album’ & ‘Act’ of the Year.
